Arun General Stores

Arun General Stores is located over on Keshav Marg, specifically at A/55 in Vinod Nagar. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while now, and we've seen a lot of neighbors move in and out. The street can get pretty noisy with all the rickshaws and bikes passing by at all hours, but inside the shop it’s usually just the sound of the old ceiling fan. We keep a variety of items, basically whatever the local families might run out of during the middle of the week. It’s a bit of a jumble sometimes because we try to fit as much as possible into the small space we have available. You might have to wait a minute while we find exactly what you’re looking for in the back storage area. We don’t really do any big advertising or anything like that to get people in. Most folks just know we are here when they need something quick. A lot of our day is spent checking the inventory and making sure nothing has been sitting on the shelf too long. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy crates and moving boxes around every morning. We’re not a big supermarket with those fancy wide aisles, just a local shop where you can get your basic necessities. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but the neighbors still come by to check on us.
