Guruka Resorts and Banquets is at 10 Ekta Nagar in Pilibhit. It is a pretty well-known spot in this part of town. Pilibhit is a quiet place compared to the big cities, but it has its own pace. Our building in Ekta Nagar is where everything happens. We have the banquet halls and the resort areas all in one patch of land. When there is a wedding or a big party, it gets incredibly loud and busy. We have to manage the parking and make sure the food is getting where it needs to go. On days when there are no events, it is actually very silent here. We spend those quiet days fixing chairs or painting over scuffs on the walls. The weather in Uttar Pradesh can be tough on the buildings, so there is always some maintenance work to do. My brother and I usually handle the main things, and we have a few local guys who help with the cleaning and the heavy lifting. We don’t have a fancy website with a lot of professional photos. Most people just walk in through the gate and ask for the price. We tell them what we have and show them the halls. It is a very direct way of doing business.
