G.S. Hospital

If you know where the Ghantaghar is in Nawabganj, then you pretty much know where we are. G.S. Hospital is situated right near that old clock tower, which is a big landmark for everyone around here. Being in the P.O. Nawabganj area means it’s always quite busy outside our doors. There is a lot of noise from the street, the rickshaws, and the people passing by throughout the day. The building itself has been part of this neighborhood for quite some time. We have several floors here and the layout is a bit old-fashioned. The lobby is usually the busiest place. Our staff members are mostly locals who have been working here for years. They know the shortcuts around the building and which light switches are a bit finicky. We don't have those shiny marble floors you see in the new city buildings, but the place is kept tidy. Sometimes the clock tower bells are loud enough to hear inside when things quiet down in the evening. People come in from all over the nearby villages because they know the location so well. We have a lot of benches in the waiting areas because there are always families sitting together. It gets a bit crowded on Monday mornings, which is just how it goes in a place like Nawabganj. We just keep the doors open and do what needs doing every day.
