Dinesh Chandra & Bros. is right at Jaton Ka Chauraha. Being at a crossroads means we see a lot of people every single day. It’s a family business that has been around for a while. We don't have a big corporate structure. It is just us and a couple of helpers. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, mostly related to hardware and engineering supplies. It’s a bit crowded in there. You have to watch your step so you don't trip over a crate or a length of pipe. We don't spend much time organizing things for looks. As long as we can find what a customer needs, it’s fine. People stop their bikes or trucks right outside and shout for what they want. It’s a noisy, lively place. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. We just tell people the price and give them what they need. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside when it’s slow and watch the traffic go by. Jaton Ka Chauraha is a busy landmark, so we are never really lonely. We’ve known most of our customers since they were kids. It’s that kind of place. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. It’s a simple way to live and work. We have been here through many seasons.
