Angles Acadamy sits right on Goral Chaur Marg in Champawat. If you know this part of the hills, you know how beautiful it gets, especially after the rain. Our school is right there on the main road. It’s a small building compared to the ones in the plains, but it’s ours. We have a few dozen students who walk up from the lower parts of the town every morning. The air is fresh here, even if the climb is a bit steep. Inside, the rooms are cozy because the winters can get quite cold in Champawat. We have old wooden desks and some cupboards for the books. The staffroom is usually where we sit and have tea while grading papers. Goral Chaur Marg isn't the busiest road, but we get some tourists passing through now and then. We don’t have a big playground, just a small open space where the kids play during recess. Life moves a bit slower here than in the big cities. We know every student’s name and their family history. It’s a tight-knit place. Sometimes the electricity goes out when it snows, so we just use the natural light from the windows. It’s a simple school for the children of this town. We just try to keep things running smoothly and make sure the kids are learning what they need to.
