Up here in Hanumangarh, specifically in the Jorkian MMH area, you’ll find the Sant Nazar Singh Jorakiyan Foundation. We are located at Sigaar Singh Sohan Singh’s place. It’s a very traditional setup, deep in the heart of Rajasthan with the 335512 pin code. The building is older, with thick walls that keep it cool even when the sun is beating down outside. We don’t have a lot of modern furniture; mostly just sturdy wooden tables and benches that have been around for ages. Most of us here are locals who have spent our whole lives in this district. We know the people and the land. Working here doesn't feel like a corporate job. It feels more like helping out family. We keep track of everything in big bound registers. Sometimes the ink smudges, but we can still read it. There’s a big tree outside where people often sit in the shade while waiting to talk to us. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so we make do with what we have. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We aren't trying to change the whole world; we just focus on what's happening right here in our own backyard. Every morning we open up the doors and see who needs help. It’s a predictable routine, but it’s a good one. We are just part of the local fabric. There is always something new to learn.
