Lalmadhav Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Prashant Singh Parihar’s house in Post Pratap, Tahsil Handia. Handia is a busy area, but our spot in Phulpur is where we really get the work done. We are a group of farmers who decided to pool our resources together. It wasn't an easy choice because everyone has their own way of doing things, but we saw it was necessary. There is no corporate headquarters here. We usually just meet up, have some tea, and talk about what the group needs to buy or sell. Managing a producer company is a lot of back-and-forth. You have to talk to the government people and then come back and explain it to the guys in the field. Some days are just filled with phone calls and trying to find a better price for the grain. We don’t have any slick brochures. Everything is done by word of mouth and hard work. The roads out here can be rough when it rains, so getting things moved is always a challenge we have to solve. We are just local people from the Phulpur area trying to keep our farms going. It’s honest work and it takes up all our time. We don't make big claims about being the biggest or anything. We just show up and do the job every day.
