KUSHWAHA BATTERIES

Kushwaha Batteries is right here in Mohalla Bharab. It’s a place we know inside and out. We’ve been working with batteries for a long time now. It’s heavy work, moving those things around. Our shop isn't very large but we pack a lot into it. People from the Mohalla know where to find us when their vehicle won't start or their backup power goes out. We don't do much talking; we just get to the testing. It’s a dirty job sometimes with the acid and the lead, but someone has to do it. We’ve got a couple of guys who help out during the busy season. Summer is usually the worst because the heat kills everything. We see a lot of frustrated faces then. We try to give them a straight answer about whether a battery can be saved or if it’s just dead. There’s no point in lying about it. The address is simple, just Mohalla Bharab. Most folks around here can point you to us. We’ve seen kids grow up and start driving their own bikes, then they bring those bikes to us. It makes you feel a bit old, honestly. We don't have a website or anything. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first customer. It’s been working fine so far. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It's what our family has done for years and we just keep the tradition going.
