Being located right in the vegetable market means our days start much earlier than most. We’re at Gala No. 17, and it’s always a bit loud with trucks moving in and out starting before dawn. We handle a lot of different trading items here, mostly acting as the middle part between suppliers and the local shops that need stock. The floor gets a bit dusty with all the wooden crates and bags moving around constantly. We’ve been in this specific spot for some time now and it feels like home. You can find us right in the middle of all the morning bustle. It is definitely not a quiet office job, that's for sure. Most of our day is spent on the old desk checking the stock that just arrived or talking to vendors. We don't really do much in the way of advertising because everyone in the market already knows where we are. Sometimes the tea stall guy from around the corner brings over some chai while we're going through the ledgers at the end of the shift. It’s a simple setup with just enough space for what we need to do. If the market closes for a holiday, we usually take that time to rest too. We just focus on getting the goods from one place to another without too much fuss. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. The space is tight but we manage.
