Hindushtan Marbel And Tiles is out in Village Mehtan, right on the highway that goes from Phagwara to Jalandhar. Since we are on the main highway road, we get a lot of people stopping by who are just passing through the area. It’s a big space because we need plenty of room for the trucks to pull in and unload the heavy tiles and marble blocks. Phagwara is a busy area, and being in Kapurthala district keeps us right in the middle of everything. We have a mix of stuff here for sale. Some days it is all about marble slabs, and other days everyone seems to want tiles for their bathrooms or kitchens. It gets loud with the highway traffic, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't big on decorations or fancy lighting in the shop. We just put the slabs out where the natural sunlight hits them so you can see what you are actually getting for your money. My family and a couple of helpers run the whole place. We do all the loading and unloading ourselves most of the time. It is hard on the back, but it is honest work that we enjoy. People from the nearby villages know they can just drop in and walk around the yard to see what we have. We don't try to push any sales on anyone. We just show the stone and let people decide.
