About Fine Switchgears (P) Ltd. – Electrical in Phagwara
We operate out of units 39 and 40 in the local industrial area. It’s a double space, which gives us enough room for the assembly lines and the storage. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time. The focus here is on putting together switchgears and making sure they work right. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s what we know how to do. The industrial area is always noisy with the sounds of other workshops, but we’re used to it by now. Our team consists of people who have been doing this for a long time. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just manual work and some machine operations. Some of the tools we use are quite old, but they still get the job done better than the new ones sometimes. We keep a pot of tea going in the corner of the breakroom. Usually, we start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. The office part is just a small room with a couple of filing cabinets and a computer that’s a bit slow. We don’t spend much time in there anyway. Most of our day is spent on the floor checking the parts. We just try to keep things moving along without too much trouble. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. No big speeches or corporate meetings. We just get the switchgears built and shipped out. The wall clock is five minutes fast but no one really bothers to fix it.
