Our place is located right near the Ravidas Gurudwara in Adampur Doaba. If you are heading toward the post office, you can’t really miss us. We have been working with organic stuff here in the Jalandhar area for some time. It is not always easy doing things the old-fashioned way without all those heavy chemicals everyone else uses. The soil takes a lot of looking after, and the weather in Punjab doesn’t always cooperate. Sometimes it is too dry, then the rains come and everything changes overnight. We spend most of our time out in the dirt or checking on how things are growing. It is a slow process compared to how big commercial farms do it, but we prefer it this way. People from the village and nearby areas stop by because they want something that hasn’t been sprayed with a dozen different things. We don’t have a big office or a computer system for everything. Usually, you will find us busy near the stores or out back. Being near the Gurudwara means there is always people moving around, so it never feels too quiet here. We grow what the season allows. If it is not the right time of year for something, we just don’t have it. That is how nature works, and we just follow along with it. We try to keep things simple. If a crop didn’t do well, we tell people. It is better to be clear about what we have.
