A M S Rice Mills

A M S Rice Mills is located on Mandi Road, right along NH-1 in the Kapurthala district. Being so close to the highway makes it very easy for the big lorries to pull in and out without getting stuck in the smaller town streets. We have been operating from this spot for quite some time. The noise from NH-1 is constant, but you get used to it after a while. Inside the mill, it is even louder with the sorting and hulling machines going full tilt. We are a practical bunch of people. We don't care much for fancy titles or polished offices. Our focus is purely on the grain. We check the sacks, manage the loaders, and keep an eye on the weather. Kapurthala is a heavy rice-growing area, so we stay pretty busy throughout the year. Sometimes the harvest is great, other times it is a bit thin, but we just adapt to what comes. We have a small crew and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it is fixing a belt or loading a truck. It is just a straightforward rice mill on a busy road. People know where we are because they see the stacks of bags from the highway. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. It's about getting the work finished before the sun goes down and starting all over again tomorrow.
