Gajanand Marbles

Our business is out on the Nadiad-Khambhat Highway Road in Rangaipura. It’s a good location because it’s right on the way for a lot of people traveling between the towns. We have a fair amount of space here to keep our marble stock. Most of what we do is just managing the yard and helping people find the right piece of stone for whatever they are building. Marble is a tricky thing because every block looks a little different, so we spend a lot of time walking around with customers showing them the veins and the colors. The highway gets pretty loud during the day with all the trucks passing by, but we don't mind it much. It’s just part of life in Rangaipura. We started this place because we saw a need for local stone supply without people having to go all the way into the bigger cities. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the material without breaking it. It’s heavy work and you have to be careful with the edges. We keep our overhead low and just focus on having a good variety on hand. It’s a simple business, really. We open up early, sweep the dust, and wait to see who comes through the gate. Most days are busy, which is good. There’s always a slab to move or a truck to unload.
