Down here at K-36 in the Sipcot area of Perundurai, it is always a bit loud during the working hours. Being in an industrial district means there is constant movement of trucks and materials coming in and out. Our office for Megha Engineerring And Construction is right in the middle of all that action. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer months. We have a small crew here, and most of us are usually out on-site or looking over some drawings on the big table. The desks are covered in a thin layer of dust no matter how much we clean them, but that is just part of being near the factories. We have been at this location for some time now. People usually find us by looking for the big gates near the main road. The chai man comes by twice a day, and that is when everyone actually stops working for ten minutes to chat. It is not a corporate setup with glass walls or anything like that. We have some plastic chairs for visitors and an old fan that makes a clicking sound. It is just a place where we do our engineering work and try to keep up with the schedules. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out quietly. It is a very grounded way of working. We deal with the Erode weather and the industrial noise every day.
