Running a place like this at Nethi149/5, means we deal with a lot of farmers every single day. We aren't a big store with glass windows and air conditioning. It is more of a practical space where people come when they need things for their fields. Most of our morning is spent talking to people about their crops and what seems to be working this season. We carry a lot of different supplies, and the shelves are usually pretty crowded. You might have to wait a minute while we find exactly what you are looking for in the back. The floors aren't always spotless because people are coming in from the dirt all day, but that’s just how it goes here. We have been in this spot for a while, and most of the locals know where to find us. It gets busy during the planting season, and then it’s just non-stop moving bags around. When things quiet down, we sit on the stools near the entrance and just watch the traffic go by. We don't really have a big marketing plan or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find out we are here. It’s a simple business, really. We just try to keep the stuff people need in stock so they don’t have to drive too far. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late, and we have to explain that to folks, which isn't always fun, but we get through it.
