You’ll find Jamali Hospital over on West South Street, specifically at number 63. It’s right in the heart of Labbaikudikadu. This place has been part of the Perambalur landscape for some time. We aren’t one of those massive glass buildings you see in the big cities. It’s a practical space. We focus on the medical needs of the people living nearby. The street outside can get pretty cramped during market days, so parking is sometimes a bit of a puzzle. Inside, it smells like disinfectant and floor cleaner, which is pretty standard for a hospital. Our nurses and assistants are usually running around making sure things are in order. We have a few wards and a waiting area that’s always got someone sitting in it. The chairs aren't the softest, but they do the job. We try to keep the windows open when the weather allows for some fresh air. Labbaikudikadu is a quiet enough place most nights. We deal with all sorts of regular health issues that pop up in a community like this. It’s a lot of long shifts and checking charts. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; most people just know we’re here because they live down the road. It’s just us doing what needs to be done every day to keep the place running. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but for now, we're busy with patients and paperwork, so the aesthetics have to wait.
