Khushi Ice Cream Parlour

Our little place, Khushi Ice Cream Parlour, is situated in Village Hardia. We are right on Babunia Road, which is a fairly busy spot. If you know where the Geetanjali Hotel is, we are just near there, close to Gauri Shankar Bhandar. It is a small shop, and we keep it pretty simple. There are a few chairs out front where people sit when the weather is nice. We get a lot of people walking by from the village or travelers staying at the hotel nearby. The shop is mostly just us behind the counter and the big freezer chests lined up against the wall. We spend the morning cleaning the glass and making sure the flavors are labeled right. Sometimes the handwriting on our signs isn't the best, but people get the idea. It gets a bit crowded in the evenings when the sun goes down and everyone wants a treat. We don't have a big menu with fancy names, just the standard stuff that people like to eat. The fans stay on all day to keep the air moving, though it still gets warm when the shop is full. We know most of our customers by name since they live right here in Hardia. It's a quiet life for the most part, just serving scoops and chatting with the neighbors. We don't do any big promotions. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them late at night once the last customer has gone home.
