We run a small book business out here in Penugonda Mandalam. It's located in the West Godavari district, which is a place known for its greenery and quiet life. Our shop isn't in a big city mall; it's a local spot where people from the nearby villages come to get what they need. We carry mostly school books, local guides, and some general reading materials that folks around here like. It’s a simple room with some wooden racks we built ourselves. The pace is slow, and we often sit outside the door when it’s not too hot. We know most of our customers by name since they’ve been coming to us for years. Sometimes, we have to wait a few days for new stock to arrive from the bigger towns because of our location. It’s a bit out of the way, but we like it that way. The floor is just plain cement, and we keep a fan running to deal with the humidity. We don't have any fancy computer systems or anything like that. We write down our sales in a ledger by hand. It works for us. If you’re passing through the mandalam, you might see our sign near the main road. We’ve been here through many seasons, watching the area grow slowly. It's a modest business, but it keeps us busy and serves the people who live in this part of West Godavari.
