Our Family Clinic

Out here in Thopramkudy, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our Family Clinic is right in the heart of this part of Idukki. It’s a simple setup. We see a lot of people from the local farms and families who have lived in Kerala for generations. The clinic isn't very big, but it’s enough for what we do. We have a couple of rooms for consultations and a place where people can sit while they wait. In the monsoon, the rain hits the roof so hard you have to raise your voice a little. We handle things like fevers, minor injuries, and just general health checks. It’s mostly just us and the patients chatting about their day while we do the work. There’s no marble floor or fancy uniforms here. We just wear what’s practical. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life in Idukki. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It’s a local place for local people. We keep the medicine cabinets stocked and the floors swept. It’s not a complicated operation. We just try to be available when someone isn't feeling well. The air here is fresh, and the clinic feels like a part of the community. We don't do much besides taking care of the folks who live around Thopramkudy. We just get on with the day.
