M /s Pochampally Raju

Our place is H. No 1-50 in Bhoopathipuram, which is part of Sulthanabad in the Peddapally area. M /s Pochampally Raju has been our life for a long time. It’s a home-based sort of setup, which is common around here. We work right where we live, so the lines between work and home get a bit blurry. You’ll find looms and threads in different corners of the house. It’s a quiet village mostly, but we stay busy with the weaving and the orders that come in. People in Peddapally know our family name. We don’t have a big store front with glass windows. It is just a house where work happens every day from early morning. The sun comes through the windows and we just start. Sometimes the neighbors come by to help or just to see what we are making. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don’t use computers for much of anything besides the basics. Most of what we do is by hand, the way we learned it years ago. Bhoopathipuram is a small place, so everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We keep our supplies stacked up in the front room. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of materials, but we make it work. We aren't trying to be a giant company. We just want to keep the tradition going and handle the requests we get. It’s a simple life at H. No 1-50 and we like it that way just fine.
