Vishal Mega Mart

We are located up here on the road toward the degree college in Kotdwara. It gets pretty busy when classes let out and students come by to look at things. The store is quite large for this part of Pauri Garhwal. We spend a lot of our time making sure the shelves are filled with everything from soap to shirts. It’s a lot of physical work moving boxes around. Some days the weather in the hills makes things slow down, but usually, people from the surrounding villages stop in when they come to town for their weekly shopping. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The building is easy to find if you know the Kalabarh area. We don't really do anything fancy here. It's just about having stuff people need so they don't have to travel too far. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to manage with the backup, which is just part of living in Uttranchal. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we all know the regulars who walk in. We see the same faces every Saturday. It’s mostly just keeping the floor clean and helping people find the right size of trousers or a specific brand of biscuits. We try to keep the aisles clear but sometimes the new stock arrives all at once and it gets a bit crowded. That’s just how it goes in a big shop like this one.
