Shri Giriraj Traders

You can find Shri Giriraj Traders over at the Pawar Compex, right near the Prachi Hotel. We are in the Village & Post Office Kamleshwar, which is part of Tehsil Srinagar in the Dist.Pauri Garhwal region. Being up here in the hills means the weather changes fast, and sometimes the roads are a bit rough, but we like the location. It’s a small operation we run out of the complex. My brother and I started this a few years back because we wanted to work for ourselves. We spend most of our time organizing stock or talking to the local suppliers who come through. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when there are a lot of travelers staying at the hotel nearby. We don't have any corporate offices or big bosses telling us what to do. We just wake up, open the shop, and see what the day brings. Sometimes we have a lot of customers, and other days we just sit and watch the clouds move over the mountains. The space is a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of things on hand for the villagers. We aren't trying to become a huge company; we just want to do right by the people who live around here. It’s a practical way to make a living and we are happy with it. We hope to stay here for many more years.
