We are situated over in Srinagar Garhwal, specifically in the Amrakunj area. You will find us right near the police check post, which makes it pretty easy to explain the location to people. The traffic can be a bit loud because of the check post, but we have gotten used to the sound of trucks and cars passing by. Our setup here is quite basic. We have a few rooms filled with materials and our work benches. It is a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when we have several projects going on at once. We’ve been in this part of Srinagar Garhwal for a while and we know most of the people who walk past our door. The mountain air is nice, though it can get pretty cold in the winter months. We just wrap up in shawls and keep working. We do not have any corporate managers or anything like that. It is just us doing the sewing and the designing. We have an old radio that stays on most of the day for some background noise. It is a practical workspace, not a showroom. We get our supplies delivered from the main market when we need them. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit muddy, which can be a hassle for our visitors. But overall, it is a good spot. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized, even if the shop looks a bit cluttered to an outsider.
