Jindal Steel

Up here in Pauri Garhwal, Jindal Steel is represented by Y.S. Bisht. This part of Uttarakhand is beautiful, but the work is still quite demanding. We don't have a typical office building. It’s more of a local arrangement that fits the landscape. Dealing with steel in the hills means we have to be very practical about how things are moved and stored. Y.S. Bisht handles the day-to-day operations and knows everyone in the area. The weather can change in an instant, and sometimes the roads are blocked, which makes the job harder. We spend a lot of time talking to local contractors and making sure they have what they need for their projects. There aren't any big corporate meetings or polished presentations here. We just sit down, have some tea, and talk about the work that needs to be finished. The air is fresh, but the mountain life is tough. We keep our records in simple notebooks and try to stay organized. It’s a very honest way to work. We don't use any fancy marketing talk because people here wouldn't care for it anyway. They just want to know that the steel will arrive when they need it. We do our best to make that happen from our small base in Pauri Garhwal. It’s a quiet existence compared to the big cities, but we like it this way. It’s just us, our logs, and the hills around us.
