Gairsain Chamoli

If you are driving along NH 87, you will find us near Dhunarghat. Gairsain Chamoli is what we go by, and we have been based in this spot for some time. It is a quiet area mostly, though the highway gets some noise during the day. We are pretty easy to find if you know the Dhunarghat landmark. The air is different up here than in the big cities. Most mornings involve a bit of cleaning up and getting ready for whoever stops by. We don't have a big fancy glass front or anything like that. It is a simple building that stays cool when it is hot outside. Sometimes the mountain weather makes things interesting, especially when it rains hard on the roof. We spend our hours doing what needs to be done. There isn't a lot of fluff here. People in Gairsain know us and we know most of them. It is a local life. We have a desk, some old files, and usually a pot of tea going. The walk from the main road isn't far at all. We like being tucked away slightly but still close enough to the main route so people can reach us. It feels right being here. Sometimes we just sit and watch the traffic go by on NH 87 while we wait for the next task. It is a basic setup, but it works for what we do every day.
