Franco Logistics

Working for Franco Logistics up here in Pauri Garhwal is definitely different from working in the plains. Our office is in V P O Apola. If you know the hills, you know that the roads are winding and sometimes the weather decides to shut everything down. We deal with logistics, so the mountain terrain is always on our minds. The air is definitely fresher here, but the logistics side of things can be a real challenge when the rains start or if there is a landslide nearby. The office itself is a modest setup. It is not a big corporate building; it is more like a local house that has been converted to handle our operations. We have a few computers and some files stacked up on the shelves. Most of the people around here know us because it is a small community in Apola. We do not really do the whole corporate branding thing. We just show up, wear our regular clothes, and get to work. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a few hours, so we just wait it out or work on whatever we can by hand. It is a very quiet place compared to the cities, which is nice in its own way. You can see the hills from the window, which is probably the best part of the job. It is just a group of us trying to keep things moving across these difficult roads. We do what we can with what we have for the people here.
