Durga Enterprises

You can find Durga Enterprises right on the Kotdwara Najibabad Road at Plot No 6. Since we are located on a main road, we see a lot of trucks and cars passing by all day long. It gets pretty dusty with all the traffic, so we are always wiping down the counters and the items we have on display. We handle a variety of items here, mostly things related to construction or general hardware that people need when they are building or fixing things. The shop is basically a large room with shelves reaching up to the ceiling. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day. Most of our work involves unloading crates and showing different parts to customers who stop their vehicles outside. Sometimes it’s quiet for a few hours, and then three customers will show up at once. We just handle them one by one. There is a small tea stall next door where we usually get our morning and afternoon chai. It’s a very basic operation without any fancy signs or complicated systems. We just try to keep the stuff people ask for in stock and give them a fair price without too much back and forth. It’s hard work, especially in the summer heat, but it’s what we do and it keeps us busy. We like the pace of being on the road.
