Dlf Laing O Rourke India Ltd

We are out here in Lachhempur village, which is near Kotdwara in the Pauri Garhwal district. Most people around here know the Kalalghati post office, and that is where you find us. The name on the gate says Dlf Laing O Rourke India Ltd. It’s a quiet place compared to the big cities, but we stay busy with the work at hand. Some days the weather in Uttaranchal gets a bit rough, but the team keeps showing up. We have been at this spot for a while now. The office isn't anything fancy, just a practical space where we handle the daily paperwork and logistics for the projects. Folks come by to ask about jobs or deliveries quite often. It’s a long way from the main highway, so you really have to be looking for us to find the place. We just focus on getting through the tasks assigned for the week. There is a lot of back and forth with the headquarters, but mostly we just manage things locally here in the village. It is a mix of people from around the district and some who moved here for the job. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk or brochures. We just do the work, keep the records straight, and make sure the site is running okay. Living and working in the hills has its own pace, and we’ve gotten used to it over the years. That is pretty much who we are and what we do.
