The Checkers In Chennai

Started at the 614602 area in Tamil Nadu. We are mostly known as The Checkers In Chennai. It's just a place here in the city where things get done. Some people come for a stay, some just passing through. We've been here for a while now. The weather in Chennai is usually hot, so we keep the fans going. It’s not fancy like those big chains you see on TV, but we have clean floors and someone is always at the desk. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, especially during the morning rush. We see a lot of different faces every day. Some people are in a hurry, others want to chat about their day. We just try to keep things moving. We don't have a big glossy brochure or anything like that. If you need a spot, you just show up or give a call. The neighborhood knows us. We’ve had the same tea guy coming by for years. It’s just how it is here. Nothing too complicated. We focus on the basics like making sure the lights work and the water is running. It's a lot of work running a place like this in Chennai. We spend most of our time fixing little things or checking the laundry. It's a regular job for us and we just show up every morning to get it started. We hope the coffee is good enough for most.
