Vikky General Store

We are situated on S.K Puri Road, just off the main Boring Road area in Patna. Vikky General Store is right near Children Park, so we get a lot of families and kids coming in after they’ve been playing outside. It’s a nice part of the city to be in. The shop is quite small, but we try to fit in as much as we can on the shelves. We have snacks, toys, and the basic groceries that people in the neighborhood need for their kitchens. I usually have the radio on in the background, just listening to the news while I work. It’s a simple life, opening up the shutters every morning and sweeping the front step. We get a lot of regulars who live in the nearby flats. They stop by for a chat as much as they do for shopping. Sometimes the kids come in with just a few coins looking for something sweet, and it reminds me of when I was younger. We don’t have a big corporate setup, just a local counter and some wooden shelves. The park brings a bit of green and fresh air to the street, which is nice in a city like Patna. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a bunch of people come in at once, but we handle it. We’ve been here for a while now, and we’re just part of the scenery on S.K Puri Road. It is an honest living and we are happy.
