We are located over at the East Shivpur area, right by the highway duplex colony in Chitkohra. Most days it’s just the few of us sitting here at the desks Ramaraju Appalraju Kommoju provided. It isn’t a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. We have some old ceiling fans that click a bit too loud when the afternoon heat kicks in. People come in from the colony to ask about their papers or just to say hello while they’re out doing errands. It gets pretty dusty because of the road being so close, so we spend a decent amount of time just wiping down the ledgers and the table. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big reception desk. There is a small stool for visitors and a teapot that stays busy from morning till five. Working here at VARITAS BENEFIT FUND NIDHI LIMITED feels more like being in a neighbor’s living room than a real company office. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the window to use the natural light until things come back on. It’s just how things go around here in this part of town. We keep things moving, even if the pace is a bit slower than what you’d find in a big city center. It’s honest work and we stay pretty occupied with the paperwork.
