Vaishnavi Hosiery

We are located in Badi Patan Devi Colony, right near the post office in Guljarbag. Vaishnavi Hosiery is basically just a local shop where we keep all the basics like socks, vests, and other hosiery items. The building is older, and the walls have a few cracks, but it stays cool inside even when the Patna sun is beating down. I usually start the day by sweeping the front step because the dust from the street always settles there overnight. Inside, the shelves are packed pretty tight with plastic-wrapped packets. It’s not the most organized looking place, but I know exactly where everything is kept. People from the colony come in for small things mostly, and we end up talking about the local news or the weather for longer than the actual sale takes. We have a small light that flickers a bit when the fridge next door kicks in, but we haven’t gotten around to fixing it yet. The back room is where we keep the extra stock, and it’s a bit of a squeeze to get through the door. Sometimes the rain leaks in near the back window, so we have to move the boxes around during the monsoon. It’s a humble business, just me and my son helping out after his classes are over. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where people can come and see what we have on the shelves.
