You can find us over at Talabpar in the Kumhrar area of Patna. Sulakshna Breeding Farm Private Limited is managed by Amit Kumar and Lalan Prasad Yadav. We’ve been set up here for a while, right near the pond area. It is a busy part of the city, but we have our own rhythm. Breeding animals takes a lot of patience and a lot of space, which can be hard to find in Patna, but we make it work at our location. We spend most of our time looking after the stock and making sure everything is healthy. It isn't a clean, air-conditioned job. We are usually out in the yard, dealing with the animals or talking to farmers who come to see us. We don’t use any fancy talk or have big advertising boards. Most of our work comes from people knowing who we are and where we are. Dealing with live animals means there are no real holidays. If something happens at midnight, someone has to be there. Lalan and Amit are usually around to handle whatever comes up. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the records get a bit behind when the farm gets busy. It is a real business with real people, and we just try to do our bit every day. It is not always easy, but we've stayed in Kumhrar because it is where our roots are and where we know the people.
