Things stay pretty busy here at Shivam Hiring Service, especially when the wedding season starts to kick in. We are located right on Khagul Road in Anisabad, not too far from SS Hospital. Usually, you’ll find us out back checking on the inventory or loading up a truck with metal chairs and folded tables. It is heavy work and my back definitely feels it by the end of the day. We have all sorts of things people need for local functions, like those big cooking pots, decorative lights, and even the mats people sit on. The shop is more of a storage space than anything else. It stays a bit cluttered with stacks of crates and rolls of carpet waiting for the next booking. Dealing with the traffic on Khagul Road is probably the hardest part of the job, especially when we are trying to get the delivery van out on time. My brother and I manage most of the logistics. We don’t use any computers or fancy systems; we just write everything down in a big ledger book. It’s been our way for years and it works well enough. People from around Anisabad know where to find us when they have a big family gathering coming up. We spend a lot of time cleaning the utensils and making sure the tents aren't torn. It isn't glamorous work, but it keeps us going and helps out the folks in our neighborhood when they have a celebration.
