You can find us over at Shop Number 19 in Vishnu Place. We are right on East Boring Canal Road, which stays busy pretty much all day and night. Amrendra Kumar Shrivastava started this place because people around here are always looking for something quick to eat that isn't the same old thing. It is a small shop, honestly. Not much room to sit, but most people just grab their food and keep walking or stand by the counter. We spend a lot of time trimming the meat and making sure the spit is turning right. When the heat from the grill gets too much, we just step outside for a second to catch a breeze from the road. The traffic noise is always there in the background. Sometimes we run out of supplies earlier than expected if the evening crowd is big. It’s a bit of a scramble then. We do our best to keep up with the orders without making people wait too long. It gets greasy and hot in the kitchen, especially during the summer months in Patna. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. We just turn the lights on, prep the rolls, and serve whoever walks in from the street. It is a simple way to make a living and we are glad to be part of the neighborhood here.
