Shabbir General Stores

Shabbir General Stores is located on Bari Road in Patna, specifically in the Dariya Pur Gola area. Our shop is right in the middle of a very busy part of the city with the pin code 800004. If you know Bihar, you know how crowded and lively these market areas can be. We sell a little bit of everything, from pulses and oils to buckets and small plastic items for the house. The store is packed with goods, and sometimes it can feel a bit cramped when there are more than three people inside at once. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of fans to keep the air moving during the hot summer months. Most of our day is spent helping people find the right spices or weighing out grains for them. We know most of the people who live in the surrounding lanes because they have been shopping here for a long time. It’s a very basic setup without any of the corporate polish you see in the big malls. We just focus on keeping the shelves full and the prices fair. There is always a lot of noise from the street, with rickshaws and people calling out, but that is just part of the atmosphere here. We open early and stay until late evening, making sure we are there when someone forgets to buy something for dinner. It is a simple, busy life in Patna.
