We are situated in Patna, Bihar, specifically in the 800008 area. Patna is a city that is changing fast, and being in the infrastructure business, we see that change every day. Our office is a simple place where we manage the local operations for this region. It is not located in one of those new glass buildings you see popping up, but rather in a more established part of the city. The rooms are filled with the usual office stuff—files, some computers, and a lot of maps of the local districts. Working in Bihar has its own set of challenges, from the dusty roads to the unpredictable weather, but we have learned to manage over the years. Our day usually starts with a brief meeting to see where the teams are and what materials are needed for the day's work. It is a very practical atmosphere. There is no pretense here. We drink a lot of tea and talk about how the roads are holding up or how the latest bridge project is progressing. The office can get a bit cluttered when we have new shipments coming in or when we are closing out a big project, but we usually find what we need eventually. It is a small, dedicated group of people here who know the local terrain well. We do not spend much on making things look pretty because the work we do on the ground is what really matters at the end of the day for everyone.
