Sales Manager

I am based out of Flat No.602 in Leelavarta Apartment, which is in New Patliputra Colony in Patna. It is a bit of a C/O B.Mandal situation here. As the Sales Manager, I use this flat as my main base of operations. Being on the sixth floor gives a bit of a view of the colony, though it’s mostly just other rooftops and trees. The lift in the building works most of the time, which is a relief. Inside, it looks like a mix of a home and a workspace. I have a laptop set up on the dining table most days. There are stacks of papers everywhere, mostly invoices and schedules that need my attention. Patna can get pretty hot, so the fan is always on high. I handle the regional sales from here, talking to suppliers and checking on the team. It is a bit cramped when we have more than three people over for a meeting, but we make it work. I’ve been here for a while, so the security guards and the neighbors all know what I do. It’s not a corporate headquarters by any means. It’s just where the work happens. I usually start early before the rest of the building wakes up. By the time evening rolls around, I’m usually still here answering emails or making calls to the main office. It’s a busy, unpolished life in Bihar.
