This office is situated in Adarsh Nagar, right in Panchayat Ward Number 10 of Anandnagar. It’s a local spot that Reeta Devi manages, and it has a very neighborly feel to it. When you walk in, you’ll see we don’t have much in the way of luxury. There are some basic chairs, a couple of fans that hum all day, and stacks of files that we try our best to keep organized. Being in Anandnagar means we are right in the heart of a residential community. We see kids playing outside and people going about their grocery shopping while we sit at our desks. Our daily routine involves a lot of writing and talking to the people who live nearby. It’s not the kind of place where you need an appointment; people just drop in when they have a moment. Sometimes we offer them a seat and some water while we look up their details in our big registers. The lighting isn't the best, especially when the clouds roll in, but we make do with what we have. It’s a very simple operation, focused on the basics of keeping track of everything for our members. We like the fact that we can walk to work and see friendly faces the whole way. It’s just a small part of the local landscape here in Ward 10, and we are happy to be here doing our work.
