Rishi Clinic

Rishi Clinic is located right in front of the Kendriya Vidyalaya near the Avicii Gate in Sachivalaya Colony. Being in Kankarbagh, Patna, it gets very dusty and crowded, especially when the school lets out and the kids are everywhere. Our building is a simple structure in a residential part of the colony. We have a small sign outside that has faded a bit from the sun over the last few summers. Inside, the floor is made of grey marble that stays relatively cool even when the Patna heat is at its worst. We have a couple of examination rooms that are quite small, barely enough for a table and two chairs. The desk in the front is usually covered in notebooks where we track the daily visits. We don’t have an intercom or anything, we just call out the next person’s name when it’s their turn. Most of our neighbors from the colony stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question. There is a small tea stall just a few steps away, and the smell of ginger tea often drifts into the clinic in the evenings. We keep the curtains drawn during the day to keep the glare off the desks. It’s a very local spot, and we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It’s just our small way of being part of the neighborhood.
