RANGSHILPI HANDICRAFTS PRODUCER COMPANY LIMITED

Our group, Rangshilpi Handicrafts, is over in Tola Panch Pindaruch. We are based out of house number 110. This is in the Keoti Runway block. It’s a place where people still make things with their hands. We formed this producer company to help the local artisans. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls. It’s a village house where we gather. You’ll see people sitting on mats or low stools working on different crafts. There is always a lot of color around because of the materials we use. We don't have a big marketing team. We just make the handicrafts and hope people like them. Pindaruch is a small village. Everyone knows everyone else’s business. We work together to get the orders finished. Sometimes the younger kids come by after school to watch the older folks work. It’s how things are passed down here. We have a lot of pride in what we make, though we don't talk about it in a flashy way. We just show the work. The Keoti area is known for this kind of thing. Our house is always open for the members of the producer company. We discuss things over snacks and tea. It's a community effort more than a business sometimes. We just want to keep our traditions going while making a living for our families. It is a slow process but we enjoy it.
