Rajesh General Stores

Rajesh General Stores is located in the Maharajganj area of Gulzarbagh. We are very easy to find because we are quite close to the Mahabir Mandir. You can often hear the temple bells ringing while we are working in the shop. It is a nice sound to have in the background. Our store has been a part of this Chaily Tel neighborhood for a long time. We deal in all sorts of general items that a household might need during the week. Patna gets very hot in the summer, so we have a big fan that stays on all day to keep things cool for the customers. The shelves are packed with everything from spices to toothbrushes. We don't have any help, so we do all the cleaning and stocking ourselves. Sometimes the shop looks a bit cluttered because we just got a big shipment of oil or sugar and haven't had time to put it away yet. But the regulars don't mind. They know where to look. We try to keep our prices fair because we know everyone in the area. People stop by on their way back from the temple to pick up a few things for dinner. It’s a busy life, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is out shopping. We don't have any big plans to change things. We just want to keep the shop running for the people who have been coming to us for years. It's a good place to be.
