Rahi Classes

We are based on Jagat Narayan Road in Kadamkuan, right here in Patna. Patliputra High School is just a short walk away, so we get a lot of foot traffic from that direction every single day. Patna is always crowded and noisy, and our street is no exception to that rule. We have got a couple of rooms where we hold our sessions. It is nothing fancy, just some basic wooden benches and a few old fans that hum all day long. We started this because we wanted to teach in our own neighborhood. The walls are covered with some posters and old schedules that we haven’t taken down yet. Most of the time, it is just the sound of someone talking at the front and the scratching of pens on paper. We don’t have a fancy website or any marketing team to speak of. If people find us, it is usually because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor at the market. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common, and we just open the windows and keep going as best as we can. It is just part of living and working in Patna. We drink a lot of tea from the stall around the corner to keep ourselves going through the evening batches. It is a simple life, teaching the kids from the local schools and helping them with their homework or those big entrance exams.
