You can find us at C/46 in the Housing Colony in Kankarbagh. We are just north of the Tempo Stand, so there is always the sound of three-wheelers and people shouting for passengers in the background. Patna is a busy place, and Kankarbagh is one of the busiest parts. Our space is dedicated entirely to mathematics. You’ll see chalk dust everywhere because we still use the old blackboards for most of our work. It’s easier to show the steps that way. We have rows of desks that have been scratched by generations of students. There’s a small desk near the door where we keep the attendance register. We don't have any fancy software to track things, just a pen and a big book. Most of the kids come here after their school finishes, and they are usually tired but ready to solve some problems. We have a few fans that help with the Patna heat, but they can be a bit loud. We don't have a waiting room or a fancy office. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just stand by the door or pull up a spare stool. It’s a very simple, no-nonsense environment. We focus on the equations and the numbers, and that’s pretty much it. It’s how we’ve always done things here. There's usually a pile of used rough sheets in the bin by the end of the day.
