Pragyacivil

We are located on the fifth floor of Asiyana Tower on Exhibition Road. It is room 513. Being in the middle of Patna means there is always a lot of noise from the traffic and horns outside, but once you are up here, it is a bit better for concentration. We started Pragyacivil because we wanted a place for people to focus on their civil service studies without too many distractions. The building is quite old and the elevator can be slow or out of order sometimes, so a lot of us just end up taking the stairs if we are in a hurry. The office isn't very large at all. We have a few rooms for classes and a small area where people wait or talk about their notes. It is a practical setup. We didn't go for anything fancy or expensive. The walls are mostly covered with maps and exam schedules that we’ve taped up over time. Exhibition Road is a very busy area, so there are plenty of places to grab a snack or a quick tea just outside the building. Most of our day is spent here, from early morning until the sun goes down and the street lights come on. Dust is a bit of a problem, like in most places in Patna, so we are always wiping down the desks. We just do our thing and try to keep the place running for the students who come in. It is a simple operation. No big corporate meetings or polished presentations. Just us working in room 513 every day.
