Prabhu Store

Prabhu Store is located in Mewalal Market, right along the Patna Khagaul Road in Anisabad. We are directly opposite the Mausham Vibhag, which is the weather department, so we always have a good idea if rain is coming based on what the folks over there are saying. The shop is small and usually feels a bit crowded because we try to stock as much as possible for the people in this neighborhood. I spend a lot of time organizing the shelves and making sure the biscuit packets are front and center. It’s a busy area, and the dust from the road is something we just have to live with. I have an old stool behind the counter where I sit when things get a bit slow, but that doesn't happen very often. Most of the day is spent fetching items from the high shelves using a long stick with a hook. We sell the usual stuff like soap, rice, and cooking oil. The billing is done on a small calculator that has seen better days. It’s an unpolished place, with some peeling paint and a floor that needs a good scrub, but it serves the purpose. We don't try to be anything fancy or corporate. We just focus on keeping the necessities in stock so that the people living nearby don't have to go too far for their basic home supplies.
