Our spot is over at the New Mithapur Bus Stand, right on the Mithapur Bus Stand Road here in Patna. Being near Sai Hospital and the main bus hub means it is always noisy and full of people moving around. You can hear the buses pulling in and out at all hours. It is a very active part of town to work in. We are mostly busy with people who are already on the move or planning their next leg of a journey. Our office is simple and stays quite dusty because of all the construction and vehicles nearby, but we keep the fans going to stay cool. We sit here and handle whatever travel needs come through the door. Some days are very long, especially when there are delays or changes in schedules. We don't use any fancy systems, just the usual stuff to get things booked and confirmed. Most of our day is spent answering questions and looking up routes for people. It is a practical business. There is no lounge or anything like that, just some benches where people can sit while we work on their files. We know the area very well and have seen the bus stand change over the years. We just keep doing our thing, helping out travelers who find their way to our desk. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and writing down details in our ledgers.
