Sudaksha Design And Decor is based at 321 Patliputra Colony. It is a house that we turned into a workspace. It’s a nice enough area, though parking can be a bit of a nightmare when the neighbors are all home. We do design work, mostly for people who want to change the look of their living rooms or offices. Inside, you’ll find heaps of fabric swatches and color palettes scattered around. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. We started this because we liked playing around with furniture and colors. It’s just a few of us here. We don't have a big sign or a fancy entrance. People usually find us through word of mouth or just by walking past. The layout of the area makes it feel a bit old-fashioned, which we like. We spend a lot of time arguing over which shade of blue looks better under different lights. Sometimes we work late into the night when a deadline is coming up. The tea stall around the corner is where we get our breaks. It’s not some high-end studio. It’s just a place where we try to make things look a bit nicer. We have a lot of old catalogs that we still use for ideas. It is a bit cramped with all the stuff we keep, but it feels like home to us. We enjoy the creative chaos of it all every day.
