Pari Kirana & General Store

Our shop is situated in Yadav Bhawan along the Kankarbagh Main Road in Patna. It is a very busy stretch of road, especially since we are right opposite the Adhikari Wisram Grih. There is always something happening outside, with rickshaws and cars constantly moving past. We’ve been here for several years, and the shop has become a bit of a landmark for people living in this part of Kankarbagh. Inside, the space is packed with everything from laundry soaps to different types of lentils. We don't have much room for fancy displays, so we just use every inch of shelf space we have. You’ll often see packets of chips and snacks hanging near the entrance to catch the eye of the kids. The floor is made of old stone, and it stays relatively cool even when the Bihar summer is at its worst. Most of our customers are locals who have been living in the area for decades. We have a routine where the morning is for the household shoppers and the evening is for the office workers heading home. Sometimes the street noise gets quite loud, but we are used to it by now. It is just a regular kirana store where we try to keep the staples in stock so nobody has to go too far to find what they need for their home. It is just the way we have always done things.
